don't determine where you can go;
they merely determine where you start.”

Psychotherapy
I offer psychotherapy with a focus on cognitive-behavioral therapy. I work with various approaches and techniques, such as CBASP, emotion-focused therapy, schema therapy, and acceptance and commitment therapy. Behavior therapy is goal-oriented, evidence-based, and helps improve one’s quality of life. The goal is to better understand one’s own patterns of behavior, experience, and thought, as well as to develop adaptive strategies for dealing with difficult situations or emotions.
Psychotherapy can help with the following issues, among others:
- Fears (panic attacks, phobias)
- Depression
- Stress-related disorders (burnout)
- Crises (difficult life situations: separation, grief, job change, transition to a new phase of life)
- Personality disorders
- Psychosomatic illnesses
Autism-Spectrum-Disorder (ASD) in adults
The ASD assessment includes:
- Multiple interview sessions
- Completion of various questionnaires and tests
- Discussion with family members
- Reviewing the assessment results
- Detailed assessment report
Therapy for ASD in adults:
The unique aspects of Asperger’s syndrome cannot be eliminated through therapy.
However, therapy can:
- Provide support in understanding the causes of difficulties
- Improve certain skills through training (e.g., perception, coping with stress/emotions, social skills, and communication)
- Help individuals to recognize/use their own strengths and learn to accept their unique characteristics/challenges
- Support the realization of personal goals/desires
The goals of therapy are developed and defined collaboratively, taking into account and addressing any additional conditions or illnesses.
Coaching
For personal concerns related to life questions from various areas such as interpersonal, professional, or familial issues, as well as for psychological concerns that are not related to a mental illness. In contrast to psychotherapy, coaching generally tends to be shorter in duration.
Possible topics in coaching can include, for example:
- Self-esteem issues
- Managing stress
- Transition into new life phases
- Difficulties at work, job changes, desire for professional change
- Relationship difficulties
- Support for separation and loss
Meet Lotti,
my poodle dog
I am convinced that the presence of animals brings therapeutic benefits. Research findings indicate that the influence of animals on human well-being can be positive and has a calming and soothing effect for many people. For this reason, I am pleased to introduce you to my friendly poodle, Lotti. If you are not an animal lover, Lotti can easily stay in the background. Being a poodle and not shedding any hair, she also poses no problem for allergy sufferers. If you still have concerns or fears regarding Lottie, please let me know before our first meeting. However, I am confident that you too will be captivated by Lottie’s charm.
